Swimming Pool Barrier Safety Inspections & Compliance
Pool Safety Inspections ensure your swimming pool or spa is compliant with Australian Standards.
Whether you have just purchased a property, you are a prospective buyer, or you are selling your home, it is your responsibility to ensure any swimming pools or spas on your property are compliant with Australian Standards and South Australian safety regulations.
Arrange a pool inspection with Home Inspect SA for comprehensive assessment of pool safety barriers and ensure your pool is compliant.
Why do I need a pool safety barrier inspection?
If you are selling your property, it is your responsibility to ensure that current safety requirements for swimming pool safety are met. This may mean you have to upgrade fencing or safety barriers to ensure compliance with South Australian regulations. It is also your responsibility to ensure swimming pool compliance for any rental properties, before tenants move in.
Independent and comprehensive pool safety inspections from Home Inspect SA identify any areas of non-compliance and supply you will all the information needed to meet the required safety standards. This will enable you to rectify any issues before you go to market or before tenants move in.
We will also complete a secondary inspection to issue a compliance certificate, giving prospective buyers peace of mind before they buy, and tenants reassurance that the swimming pool meets safety standards.

What does a Swimming Pool Safety Inspection involve?
Independent and comprehensive pool safety inspections from Home Inspect SA identify any areas of non-compliance and supply you will all the information needed to meet the required safety standards.
We offer two types of inspection.
- Swimming Pool Compliance Inspection, or Pool Safety Inspection, and
- Swimming Pool Certification Inspection
An initial Swimming Pool Compliance inspection involves a detailed, on-site assessment of the pool or spa against Australian Regulatory Standards. A full report will be provided within 24 hours outlining any areas of non-compliance and recommendations for rectification or, if the pool is compliant, a Certificate of Pool Compliance will be issued.
Where there are areas of non-compliance, a secondary inspection is recommended to verify compliance once the issues have been rectified.
